Not sure why i bother paying for a realm, i can never join it Not sure why a Microsoft employee didn't suggest this but, maybe try swapping out hosts of the realm and just spending money on the 7 day membership until you are all able to connect to the realm.
To be honest though I think this will always be an issue with realms. A subscription to make the most of your time.
